Geriatric Education for Emergency Medical Service (GEMS)

Designed specifically for First Responders, EMTs, Paramedics, and all other emergency care providers, this national continuing education curriculum is the most credible and complete source of pre-hospital medical information for the older population.

The GEMS course is designed to address all of the special needs of the older population, including the geriatric objectives as identified in the EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, and EMT-Paramedic National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) National Standard Curricula.

This course awards a two year certification card.
